Happy New Year!

Happy New Year, and what a promising and exciting year 2019 is set to be! With the fresh new look to the blog launching I wanted to bring you some of my favourite trends for the year ahead which you’re going to love! From this years bright and vibrant colour of the year to breaking traditions!

Colour of the year 2019 – PANTONE – 16-1546 Living Coral
Let’s get colourful! Be prepared to see this colour in some way, shape or form at weddings this year. Living Coral is one of those colours that you can’t resist and will want to include within your big day, especially if you’re having a summer Wedding. Whether you go all out or just add it in subtly, it’s the perfect, vibrant addition that’ll make your day stand out even more!

Tiaras fit for Royalty
What with two royal weddings in 2018, the princesses have made a big impact on this years trends. We’re loving beautiful handcrafted tiaras in 2019, so unleash that inner Princess and opt for stunning headpieces.

Bridal Jumpsuits
This I think is my favourite trend for the year ahead, I absolutely love Bridal jumpsuits and Brides in full suits. Last year we saw Cara Delevingne rock a suit, jacket and tie at Princess Eugenie’s wedding which has definitely set the tone to be more bold this year with wedding attire!

Grazing Tables & Food Stalls
I don’t know about you but i’m all about the food at a Wedding. I’m quite an advocate on investing in the food for your big day which is why I can’t get enough of these amazing picnic feasts that are proving popular for 2019. It’s a buffet alternative but set out on each table for your guests to enjoy. Food stalls are also very popular again this year especially if you’re opting for a more laid back vibe. Perfect for those foodie couples out there!

It’s always been traditional for the men to give speeches at a wedding, but this year we’re breaking tradition and having who we want to say a few words, with Bridesmaids sharing tales from the Hen Party to the Best Friend joining in with the Best Mans speech.

Intimate Weddings
Following on from 2018, having a smaller more intimate wedding is still proving very popular for this year. Being able to spend time with your nearest and dearest and not stressing over a guest list most definitely has a lot of perks as well as keeping to a smaller budget!

Botanical Backdrops
With flower walls still being a big hit at weddings, we’re seeing a lot more alternative floral backdrops coming through. These are great for those insta wedding moments!

Wedding Cake Tasting Box
When choosing your wedding cake flavour, see if your Wedding Cake Designer offers the option to send out a tasting box. These are going to become a lot more popular this year when choosing your cake for the big day.

In every sense of the word. Dress, hair & makeup, flowers and decor! Less is definitely more this year!

Your Wedding, Your Way!
I’m writing a post on this at the moment, but there’s a big focus on making your wedding all about what you want this year. Make it personalised and do things your way.
