Love is in the air!

If you’re getting married this Valentine’s Day, you certainly aren’t alone. Thousands will tie the knot on or around the 14th February showing a spike in the stats for this time of year. What this says about us humans is debatable but it could mean that we’re all a little more romantic than we might let on.

Some couples might want to go all out and celebrate Valentine’s Day with their guests and some may just want to incorporate a subtle nod to it in their theme. Here are some ideas to spread a little love on your wedding day

Colour Scheme

Red is the most obvious choice here and if you love the colour, it’s a great way to inject some warmth into this chilly month. Red could be your main theme or perhaps just an accent colour. Bridesmaids can look fantastic in red and this simple elegant dress from Phase Eight could tick the box:

Don’t like red? How about some shades of pink for a more romantic feel. This gorgeous dress from Monsoon will suit all your bridesmaids, regardless of shape due to it’s multi-way straps..

If you’re wanting to go full on Valentines, this is the easiest way and roses are going to say just that. However, roses are expensive and if the budget doesn’t stretch quite that far, how about mixing them up with some large-headed flowers like deep red hydrangeas or for a more rustic feel, large bunches of garden greenery and winter herbs like rosemary and basil for a sweet smelling bouquet tied with red ribbons.
